Elegance, portability and practicality in one: this superb "Elegante Cart" from John Boos (model WAL-CUCE30) has a wooden top of edge grain blended black walnut, 1.5 inches thick. Directly below this top there's more walnut laminate and a dovetail-jointed utensil drawer with a steel front. The walnut top has a gorgeous Varnique finish (practical and easy to clean, but this finish should not be used as a cutting board surface. The legs and two shelves are all stainless steel. The middle shelf can be reversed, which is versatile: the lip on one side of the shelf means you can have the flat side up, for easy access, or the lipped side up, so you essentially have a lip around the shelf to keep round objects from rolling off. Speaking of rolling, the cart legs end in commercial-grade rail casters that can be locked when stability is desired.
