Completely constructed of stainless steel, Skyfood's heavy duty bandsaw (model SI-282HDE-1) is a powerful meat processing machine intended for high volume commercial use. Ideal for butcher stores and grocery store meat departments, this meat and bone bandsaw uses a 112-inch-long, 3/4" wide blade and is powered by a single phase, 2 Hp motor with thermal protection. This powerful electric saw features a number of safety features. Removing the blade guard above the slicing area will kill the power, as will opening either the upper or lower doors; the emergency kill switch is easy to spot and easy to reach; and a safety trigger prevents the saw from suddenly and unexpectedly restarting after an electricity failure. Food service professionals know that sanitation is a top priority, so to this end many of the saw components (i.e., the stationary & sliding tables, the lower & upper doors, the blade guard and blade wheels) can all be removed easily for cleaning and maintenance. (The recommended method of cleaning is with a steam hose or water jet.) To speed your work this bandsaw has a features a sliding feed table and a meat thickness gauge plate.
