This compact medium-duty tomato strainer from Weston (model 82-0250-W) is quick and efficient. It's also versatile: there are three filter screens included to make 3 different textures of puree. You load your tomatoes into the oversized hopper; the tomatoes get pulverized (the motor is 250 watts), puree and juice get separated from seeds and skins. Great for sauce, salsa, fruit jams, etc. and ideal not just for tomatoes but berries, and, reportedly, pumpkin. The strainer's motor has a reverse gear (handy for reversing snags when processing fibrous foods. Includes plastic stomper. Runs on 120V power.
