Equipped with a spectacular 5-year limited manufacturer's warranty, Weston's Stainless Steel Pro-Series #22 Electric Meat Grinder / Sausage Stuffer (model 10-2201-W) is for professional or home chefs who need and demand the best! The one and a half horsepower motor is air-cooled and permanently lubricated; this powerful grinder practically devours the meat fed into its oversized hopper (15"W x 10"L x 2.5"H) and can grind up to 14 pounds per minute. The unique (patent-pending) head design also promotes high-speeds and efficient production. The Pro Series #22 is gear driven and the gears are metal, promoting optimal, quiet grinding; one of the safety features is that the unit has a circuit breaker, along with sturdy rubber non-slip feet, ensuring a steady and stable work base. The rugged solid metal construction make this a durable, solid machine capable of taking on big jobs.     I really love this grinder. I did a lot of research prior to purchasing and chose to go with this one due to reviews here and other places. I bought this unit to grind my own dog food. Since I have really tiny dogs and bone is an important part of their diet, I needed something that would grind up bone without any issues. This was just the ticket. I have done chicken, turkey, pheasant, rabbit, squirrel, and other small prey --- bones and all. It grinds them all without any issues. The unit has a reverse switch, but it has not clogged or required use since I've had it. Initially I didn't want to spend so much money on a grinder. But, as I researched and did a cost break down of the pre-made raw food I was giving my dogs (and a stray cat) that cost a small fortune, I realized that my cost basis would break even inside of a year at meat market prices, while at the same time allowing me to know EXACTLY what I was feeding my animals. I really couldn't be more pleased. This is an excellent unit. It sets up and breaks down easily for cleaning. It takes more time to prep the meat, set this unit up, break it down and clean it, than it does to actually grind the meat & bones. Everything inside is steel -- no plastic parts. So it's built to go the distance. I don't think you can go wrong with this unit.
