This hubless grinder plate from Weston is special (model 29-2240) and is designed for sausage stuffing. It's a "kidney" plate (called that because of the shape of the large holes. The large 40mm holes allow your pre-ground meat to pass easily from your Weston grinder (#20 or #22) and into the sausage casings you've put on the end of your stuffing tube. This plate should last for decades since you're not actually grinding with it (providing it's kept clean.
