Industrial dehydrators are often termed either “cabinet" or “tray-and-tunnel" dryers, but this versatile large-scale M2 industrial dryer from C.D.S. (product McKenzie Dehydrator) blurs the line between the two. If you currently are drying large volumes of goods but expect to expand operations even further in the near future, this McKenzie M2 dryer is a great choice for your processing station after your original purchase, additions are relatively inexpensive and can triple your dehydrating capacity. Add up to two additional sections to your standard M2 model for a total capacity of almost 5000 square feet (each added section will hold an additional four carts. Made by Commercial Dehydrator Systems, a leader in industrial drying since 1910, the M2 has double-walled stainless steel construction, completely insulated in order to optimize humidity control, temp control, and heat retention. Temperatures in the dehydration tunnel are monitored via L.E.D.-display (the chamber’s max operating temp is 104 degreeC/220 degreeF), making it easy to customize and fine-tune your production protocols for a wide variety of products. The dryer burner produces about a million B.T.U.s (the burner operates on natural gas, propane, or butane. With a powerful 10-Hp circulation fan, the heated air circulates in a uniform and consistent manner. Dolly trays are available in stack able plastic (each tray 27" x 38", total space of 1,362 sq. ft.) or stainless steel (perforated, each tray 24" x 38", total space of 1,595 sq. ft.. Note: this dehydrator requires intake / exhaust ventilation. Option A: Plastic Trays - The standard size will have 1,362 sq. ft. (126.53 sq m) of drying space available:
  • Each tray is 27-in. x 38-in. (68.58 cm x 96.52 cm), 34 trays per stack with 6 carts.
  • Each tray will allow 6.68 sq. ft. (.62 sq m) of product space.
  • Each expansion can add an additional 4 carts. Fully expanded dryer holds 18 carts.
Option B: Stainless Steel perforated trays - The standard size will have 1595 sq. ft. (148.18 sq m) of drying space available:
  • Each tray is 24-in. x 38-in. (60.96 cm x 96.52 cm), 42 trays per cart with 6 carts.
  • Each tray will allow 6.33 sq. ft. (.59 sq m) of product space.
  • Each expansion allows 4 more additional carts. A fully expanded dryer has triple the original capacity of a standard version. Total is 18 carts with 756 trays, 4785.48 sq ft.
