This Omcan electric tomato squeezer (model 18901) is a great tool for mid-volume processing (i.e. the creation of puree by separating skins and seeds. While not suited to processing industrial quantities of vegetables, this is a substantial, well-made tomato squeezer with a.3-horsepower motor; the motor turns a worm at about 110 rprm. The funnel, filter cone, and drip pan of the processor are 18/10 stainless steel; the housing is a durable industrial resin, tinned (as is the worm of the machine. The hopper aperture is two inches. Made in Italy, this squeezer is great for restaurants making a lot of red sauce and is also great for making jams and juices.

    Excellent unit, processed the tomatoes perfectly. Down side to me was the hopper could have been a little larger and the seed and pulp extractor could have been designed to extract a little bit further away from the crusher. It was hard to align the pot and the waste containers with out contaminating each other.

    The product works great! Saves a lot of time. Don't have to cook tomatoes first and then run them through a strainer. Very well built and easy to clean!!!
