Hobart Safety Cage / Bowl Guard For Hobart D300 30 Qt Mixers, Model# HBG-30

This Alfa International bowl guard (model HBG-20) is designed to retrofit a Hobart D300 30-quart commercial mixer with a safety cage that the mixer did not originally have. Mixer owners buy and install these cages for various reasons: mainly because installation of these bowl guards is now legally required in many jurisdictions but also because it's the right thing to do to protect workers from the powerful motor utilized in the commercial mixer. The cage itself is constructed of heavy duty, high quality stainless steel; the latches, fasteners, hinges, pins and handles are stainless steel as well. The door to the cage opens easily and opening of the cage shuts off the power to the mixer. This kit includes a "hook-up ready" electric wiring harness and a power cutoff feature. This is a heavy duty, extremely-durable cage kit but (since the cage needs to be installed on a mixer that in all likelihood was not designed to accommodate such a guard), installing it requires the services of a qualified technician (some drilling will be required. A wiring diagram and basic installation instructions are included with the kit.
